BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING (BIM):
Through BIM the Underhill Group is undergoing its very own digital revolution. BIM is a way of working collaboratively; it is information modelling and information management in a team environment, all team members should be working to the same standards as one another. BIM creates value from the combined efforts of people, process and technology.
HEALTH & SAFETY IS HIGH PRIORITY:
We take the health, safety and welfare of our employees, customers and the general public very seriously. We all have the right to feel safe at work, it is of paramount importance to us that everyone is happy, healthy and feels safe in their working environment.
Our strict approach to HSEQ is governed by our adherence to HSE legislation, BSI Standards ISO 9001, ISO 14001 & OHAS 18001, as well CHAS and CE Marking regulations.
This includes a proactive approach to managing COSHH and risk. As a standard, SMSTS qualified Project Managers will produce a RAMS document prior to work and regularly conduct toolbox talks & site meetings.
HSE management is the responsibility of all personnel of the Underhill Group and is a joint responsibility with our contractors.
OUR APPROACH TO COSHH MANAGEMENT
We operate all processes in accordance with HSE legislation, our own HSE policy and in-line with COSHH procedures. Our approach to managing COSHH does not stop with data sheets and assessments; it includes the provision of PPE and regular, thorough training sessions about the control of hazardous substances. Our COSHH management is overseen by the Stores department and this includes access and monitoring of our secure COSHH facility.
“Underhill has undertaken the works in a safe, diligent manner. They have reacted well to the client’s operational needs during the works and have suggested solutions when unforeseen problems have been encountered. I would be happy to work with UEL on future projects.”
